VIPs at the upcoming Sunshine Coast Craft Beer and Cider Festival will be in a league of their own with an elaborate outdoor entertainment area being constructed for them for this year’s event.
Stilus Design and Construction director Glen Fludder attended the inaugural festival last year. He loved it so much he offered to come on board to create something unique for those who want a little luxury during their day sampling some of the 200 craft beers and ciders on offer from local, national and international brewers.
“There were some logistical challenges as we usually create permanent outdoor entertainment spaces in homes,” he says. “We had to think outside the box to design a solid structure that is removable for the 20-metre by 20-metre space.”
Mr Fludder says they went for a white-on-white theme with rustic accents and greenery to add sophistication to custom-made decking, tables, chairs and bean bags.
The team will spend the weeks leading up to the December 1 event constructing, painting and preparing the VIP area. The overall design, which features two star tents and lush grennery will be pulled together with assistance from Ironbark Timbers, Coastal Fasteners and iLandscap.
Festival director Tanya Taber has hand-selected more than 50 Australian and New Zealand brewers and cideries to showcase some of their most rare and sought-after creations. There will be a host of live entertainment and a side show alley is available for kids.
The Sunshine Coast Craft Beer and Cider Festival is on December 1 from 1pm at the Sunshine Coast Stadium. Tickets craftbeersunshinecoast.com.au.
